Funeral Celebrant
"To mourn a death, to celebrate a life, and to bring comfort to the living"
Being a Professional Funeral Celebrant is something I am passionate about. If you are reading this my thoughts reach out to you as you may be looking to arrange a farewell service. I'm privileged to play a small part in helping people through the first stage of grief. I provide a personal farewell service for loved ones with dignity, love and respect in the way that the deceased and their family and friends would like. Every bespoke service recognises that each and every one of us is unique.
I am equally happy to conduct a funeral which includes religion, or no religion.
It is important to me that the person who has left us, and loved ones remaining are able to have the right funeral service of their choice. I meet with appropriate family and friends to discuss their loved one and create a prepared and approved service ready for the funeral.
Services do not need to be completely mournful events. They can also feel uplifting when a loved one is remembered.
I assist in planning, writing and delivering a bespoke funeral service, representing the life of the
person who has passed on, expressed through choice of tribute, music, hymns, poems, photographs and readings..
Family and Friends are encouraged to take part in the service if they would like to do so.
I can provide help to those who may be worried or nervous about doing this.
Individual life centred funeral ceremonies are for those who want something personal and meaningful.
Just ask your chosen Funeral Director to contact me, or feel free to ring me direct on 07904 517155
Celebrant, Celebrant, what is it you do? I haven’t a clue.
Celebrant, Celebrant, what is it you do? Do you include religion, or is that taboo?
Who is your target, where is your goal? I’m a little confused, as to what is your role.
Are you religious, or the atheist sort, I’m a bit in the dark and need to be taught.
Well let me enlighten you, I’ll try and explain, I’m there as a person to help ease your pain.
It isn’t about me or any belief, I try to help loved ones as they face painful grief.
There’s more than two options, to help people through, So I’ll try and explain, what us Celebrants do.
We take an approach, with a personal touch, For loved ones in need of help or a crutch.
Some aren’t religious, but still want a prayer, Or even a hymn, and we’re happy to share.
It just doesn’t matter what our belief, We’ll use an approach that helps bring relief.
So as you can see, it’s not black or white, We offer a service to make it just right
We tick all the boxes some people say, We try to make it special, in our own unique way.
To help and bring comfort, is our ultimate aim, Each service is special, no two the same
Happy to meet to discuss what we do, At a time or a place chosen by you
